As long as you are saving a stray or a shelter cat, it should not matter the breed. The animal will be loving and receptive to a good home.

Most reputable breeders will not list the prices of their cats or kittens for sale.

This being said, from what I have researched, American Curls range from $1200.00 upwards.

You can contact this breeder by email and inquire what their cattery charges.

Her cats are gorgeous.

Of course an alternative would be to contact the American Curl Rescue groups and inquire what the cost of adopting one would be, and if there are any available. I am sure with the popularity of this breed, the American Curl would be in high demand.

Well, my mom raises American curls too. We already haved a kittens and now two of them are free to sale or something. They’re Trollin’s kittens, my mom is american curl raiser. They’re so cute!

No, it's not a "designer" breed. Those "breeds" of dogs aren't breeds at all. They're just cutesy names given by greedy backyard breeders to sell mutts. Which sadly, people continue to buy.

Yes, the American Curl is a breed. It's an approved breed by both CFA http://www.cfa.org/breeds/profiles/american-curl.html and TICA. That link gives the history of the breed.

American Curls need ear checks as part of their grooming routine. Once a week you should check to see if there is any accumulated ear wax, and if there is, as per your vets instructions and demonstration, the outer area of the ear should be gently swabbed with q-tips that have been wetted with an ear cleanser (such as Nolvasan Otic). It is important not to swab deeply into the ear as you may only push wax against the ear drum, causing pain and an eventual ear infection.
But otherwise they are strong, healthy cats remarkably free of genetic defects that affect many purebred cats.

Inquisitive without being intrusive, strongly affectionate without being clinging, talkative on occasion – usually a questioning chirp or a comment! I describe them as being a "medium" energy level cat. They are at a mid-point between the more placid or active breeds. They are both lap cats at times, loving to sleep on the bed (or your pillow if you will allow) as well as self entertainers. They adapt well to new situations…quickly sizing up "what is what". Many love to fetch paper balls or pompoms, sponge balls and seem to have a fascination with water. It’s not unusual to have a Curl audience while you are in the bath, and "L'eau de Faucet" is a treasured drink. Their intelligence is unsurpassed by any other breed.
