Choosing Corn Snake as exotic pet
Exotic Pet Corn Snake. The exotic Corn snakes (Elaphe guttata) make an excellent and popular pet snakes, especially for beginners, since they are relatively docile, reluctance to bit, moderate size and easy to handle and care for.
With a wide variety of different colors and patterns selective breeding has produced, however, exotic pet corn snakes also favorites with experienced keepers.
In order to obtain new corn snake specimens, most people head to a pet shop. Though the big multipurpose pet shops certainly fulfill a need in the world of pets in general, they are probably not the best place to go for exotic pet like a corn snake. It would be better off going to a small specialist reptile pet shop, where the owner really knows about reptiles, including corn snakes, and can give you solid advice about your pet snakes. Burmese Python Snake
Burmese Python Snake. (Python molurus bivittatus) Burmese python are native to Southeast Asia including Burma, Thailand, Indonesia, southern China and Vietnam. Burmese python may grow more than 20 feet long or weight 200 pounds, and lifespan up to 25 years and more.
Burmese python live in rainforest as their natural habitat, range from areas of lush vegetation lining the river banks up to the mountain forests. These snakes are diurnal and equally at home on the ground and in trees. Burmese pythons are also good swimmers, enjoy a long soak in warm water, especially just before they are ready to shed. Boa Constrictor Snake
Boa Constrictor Snake. There are several subspecies of Boa constrictor, and all of the Boa ssp are listed on Appendix II of the CITES (Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species). Additionally, Argentine Boa (Boa constrictor occidentalis) is on CITIES Appendix I – endangered – and requires permits to buy, sell, trade and own.
Boa constrictor is a non venomous boa species and found in Central America, South America and some islands in the Caribbean. Ball python Snake
The Ball Python (Python regius) is an attractive snake with a dark, brown-black pattern and yellow-tan skin. Ball Python (Python regius) called Royal Python in Europe. The “Royal” name was brought about in part by Cleopatra who reportedly wore these beautiful snakes as bracelets on her wrists.
